Rating: ** If you ignore the glaring implausibilities in the smart slick but superficial script Flightplan is one more well-mounted proof of Jodie Forster's growing power as an actress of formidable resources. She practically holds up this airborne thriller with her impassioned performance as a lately widowed mother who during a flight suddenly finds her daughter has gone missing. The best part of the tightly-wound narrative is the first 30 minutes when the frantic mother searches the length and breadth of the commodious aircraft (hats off to the set designer).
